Good to know

Scotland has some bank holidays the rest of the UK doesn't: 2 January, St Andrew's Day (30 November) and an earlier summer bank holiday on the first Monday in August. Easter Monday isn't a bank holiday in Scotland. In 2026 there's also a one-off World Cup bank holiday on Monday 15 June. Local holidays vary by council.
